I've worked in the real estate title industry more than 30 years.  The first title company I worked for, I was a policy typist and then promoted to a commitment typist.  Before long I was fortunate to be assigned as an attorney assistant where I learned to prepare certain docs including deeds, deeds of trust, etc.  After about 2 years I became an escrow officer for about 15years. Never a dull moment in title work.  You learn something new every day.  My duties: Receipt contracts, open title orders, deposit earnest money.  Send out commitments, tax service etc to all parties.  Order payoffs, order insurance, surveys.  Call parties to discuss any schedule c items.  Clear any title issues before closing instructions were received.  Once ready to close, worked up HUD, Closing disclosure and send to lender for review.  Signed up parties, collected good funds, cut checks and send out packages to lender.  Now, today, I work as a notary signing agent.  I love meeting with the customers and I help at my husband's real estate law firm.  Alvarado Law Firm, fee office for Valley Land Title Co, Hidalgo County, Texas.  I'm able to conduct home equity closings in one of our 4 locations in south texas.  I'm also a mobile notary and getting my remote online notarization soon.  I'd love to be part of prolink team please.
